I only did Goron and Rito so far, and the Fire Temple felt kinda meh…

Maybe it’s the fact that it doesn’t really make sense as a place that people once used, nor as a temple, or maybe I just really don’t like minecarts.

I ended up doing all sorts of weird shit to get through it and failed miserably, so I had to actually follow the map to get to the last two terminals

I once fucked up one of those shrines in the sky and dropped the crystal. I was still early in the game and didn’t realize I could just use the rewind power (I have no idea how it’s called in Englisg), and I jumped.

I discovered to my surprise that the game actually keeps those crystals loaded for a while and so I found it on the ground, glued it to four fans, put a cloche on top of it and flew my new crystal sky-bike back to the island.

I wiped out all of my cores to not drain the batteries, but it was worth it (even more since I can now use the autobuild whenever I have to move those crystals around)

Pro tip, every so often go back to Lookout Landing to see if there’s anything new there!

I did it a couple of times, but it has been a while, thanks for reminding me!

On a sidenote, damn I haven’t used the hot air balloon in a long time, that would have solved a lot of situations in the last few hours!

I’m Gen Z and when I was little my parents were (rightfully) very careful with how much time I spent on the internet. Even so, I saw from a distance the old internet, where forums were a thing and you could find lots of cool websites that people made for reasons that weren’t limited to promoting or selling something.

When I discovered Reddit it was like I could somehow experience that time, but for many the decline had already started.

I love interacting with people, asking and answering questions, discovering and making others discover new things, but I just can’t stand feeling like everything and everyone is trying to sell me something anymore.

Now that I’m here, I feel like this could be the place, at least for a while.

as someone pointed out in this comment, I don’t think deleting all the content we generated thoughout the years is a good idea. I still get replies on years old posts from people who had that same exact question, and the amount of information I actively find on reddit is crazy. Reddit won’t care about deleted accounts and posts (and they will only be a minority anyway), and I think doing so is a disservice to every person on the web.

Unless you only posted in r/memes and r/askreddit lol

I think that the death of stumble upon reflects this very well. I used to spend hours on it, finding website that were about specific niche topics, art, or were interactive experiences of every kind. Now websites don’t really exist in that shape anymore, or at least don’t have the same resonance. If Internet was the real world, it would be a cyberpunk dystopia

I remember playing Splinter Cell on the 360 (I thin it was blacklist or double agent) and then suddenly, on top of a skyscraper, you see this absolutely basic and uninteresting city skyline with a fucking Nivea (or some other deodorant brand) logo on top of a cardboard skyscraper in the background.

Tha was… weird

EDIT: found a screenshot, it wasn’t as bad as I remembered. Still weird for 10 y.o. me

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s as if instances are countries and communities are cities. A state gets connected to a city of another state when someone decides to drive there (search it). When someone does that, it creates a street that both states can take (and so posts and comments from that community automatically get to the other instance).

Am I getting this right?

Yeah it feels like most right wing people are more progressive than they think.

I’m not from the U.S. but everytime I talk with a conservative we agree on a lot of things once they stop talking with slogans
