Yea everyone getting powers at once cheapened it for me. Iā€™m glad they had that other scene with Fisks mind, even though it was random with no prior indication that she could do that.

Iā€™m worried that ā€œeveryone gets powersā€ thing is going to get memed now. The series was really good otherwise

I appreciate the recommendation! Weird I havenā€™t tried this before, I like it :)

I started this, and never got started: https://lemmy.ca/c/musicleague

Part of the problem was that musicleague only works with a spotify login, but it could work with a fediverse login!

MusicLeague: https://musicleague.com/user-guide/

  1. Each league is made up of a certain number of rounds.
  2. Each round has a musical theme, like ā€˜coversā€™ or ā€˜I want your sax.ā€™
  3. When the round opens, league players are notified to submit a song that fits the theme.
  4. When everyone has submitted (or the submission deadline arrives), everyone receives a link to the playlist to listen, consider, and then return to Music League to assign points and add comments to reminisce, toast and maybe a gentle roast.
  5. Once the votes are in, everyone will be able to see the results, including who submitted what, how everyone voted, and all the comments.
  6. Points are earned from round to round and accumulate through the entire league until a winner is crowned.

What we can do better:

  • fediverse login instead of spotify
  • submit from any music service, not just spotify
  • multiple playlist options, with a note for when a certain song isnā€™t on a service

This shouldnā€™t be an annual event, but rather a perpetual one

Oh Woah, one of these?

Two lines of the song are sung by the inmate Murphy in the 1992 film Alien 3 immediately prior to his death. Brief snippets are played in ā€œThe Time Is Nowā€, the second-season finale of the TV show Millennium, which depicts an apocalyptic event. The song was rewritten and used as the introductory theme for the 2000 TV series Cleopatra 2525. In 2010, it was parodied as ā€œIn the Year 252525ā€ in the seventh episode of Futuramaā€™s sixth season, ā€œThe Late Philip J. Fryā€, as Fry, Professor Farnsworth and Bender travel forwards through time to find a period in which the backwards time machine has been invented.[18] The song acts as an aesthetic theme to the film Gentlemen Broncos.[19] The BBC Radio series 2525, a sketch show set in the year 2525, featured a cover of the song with its first lyric as its introductory theme.

I havenā€™t seen Ant-Man yet, but was that who Mobius was talking about at the end? The ā€œ616 adjacentā€ variant?

It could just be that those were the ā€˜stupidā€™-er variants so far, and that there are much better ā€œ616 adjacentā€ ones out there
