I havenā€™t seen Ant-Man yet, but was that who Mobius was talking about at the end? The ā€œ616 adjacentā€ variant?

It could just be that those were the ā€˜stupidā€™-er variants so far, and that there are much better ā€œ616 adjacentā€ ones out there

Moved from Australia to Canada. I used to watch cartoons with snow and I was looking forward to it.

I got here and received more snow than I knew what to do with

I laughed at that bit

When he thought he won after so many tries, I felt some of that relaxation you get when you FINALLY beat the boss fight after practising over and over and over and over again

Sometimes I have the opposite problem, where the audience is more disruptive than anything. I havenā€™t been in a while, but Iā€™m thinking back to the random cheering and clapping that pulls you out of the movie.

I also find that a lot of theatres are too loud now, but maybe my ears are getting old

Louis-Dreyfusā€™ interview with Kara Swisher followed her profile in The New York Times from earlier this month in which she made headlines for saying itā€™s a ā€œred flagā€ when comedians complain about political correctness. While she never mentioned her ā€œSeinfeldā€ co-star Jerry Seinfeld by name, her interview was published soon after he went viral for blaming the ā€œextreme left and P.C. cultureā€ for killing TV comedy because ā€œpeople [are now] worrying so much about offending other people.ā€

ā€œTo have an antenna about sensitivities is not a bad thing,ā€ Louis-Dreyfus told The Times. ā€œIt doesnā€™t mean that all comedy goes out the window as a result. When I hear people starting to complain about political correctness ā€” and I understand why people might push back on it ā€” but to me thatā€™s a red flag, because it sometimes means something else.ā€

The line is quippy, but itā€™s silly when you look at the batman stories. Anything can be funny if you get reductionist with it

When the writers have her saving plants, they do it in a way that you root for her. Same with Mr. Freeze, those episodes and the movie is really touching, solely because of his motivation.

You donā€™t root for batman to beat them up or flex his wealth on them, you want Batman to help them. You want them both to get happy endings.

The stories usually end with batman stopping the carnage, while also arresting whatever CEO was cutting down trees or doing experiments on Nora. In other stories, he funds social programs and advocates for reforms as Bruce Wayne.

Maybe there are other stories where he acts like a frat boy. I skip content that has shitty writing
