Tutanota doesn’t share their security audits, which Proton does.

Also, IIRC Tutanota uses their own custom encryption implementation, while Proton contributes to open source OpenPGP projects.

And when in the past the the Swiss gov ordered Proton to do some limited tracking for a specific user, after that they went to the court and succeeded in changing the law so it’s no longer possible to order this tracking.

Proton might not be ideal, but they seem to actually care about making the Internet a safer place.

There’s no reason an app should be more trustworthy than the email.
It’s pretty standard for scummy companies to make the process as annoying as possible.

Better question, what kind of a scam company charges for redelivery?

You know, you chose a bad post to get edgy.

Valve is actually one of the companies that treats fan projects very well, sometimes they’ll even let you sell your project on Steam (see Black Mesa remake).

I guess the data that says they spent too much money on hydrogen tech that is now unlikely to pay off.

Just because you could use it for knitting it doesn’t mean it was its purpose.
There’s not a lot of detail, but you can check on the Wiki why it’s ultimately an unlikely explanation: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_dodecahedron#Purpose

But it’s not a Spotify client, is it?

IIRC it uses Spotify APIs to generate playlists, but that’s all.
Actual music gets streamed from YouTube.

They already said they don’t want to.

They asked you to install the app on purpose, in hopes that you’ll decide it’s too much hassle and decide not to delete the account.

These volunteers didn’t think about it in these terms.
They gave away their work for free to help people learn languages, and for a long time Duolingo seemed like the best platform for that.

Starting your own platform is much more difficult than contributing to an existing one that seems to be operated with some amount of goodwill…
