How much is too much is more than likely a personal issue, and if they think it’s too much, it’s probably too much. Agree, the Internet isn’t a place to ask, a therapist is more likely a good place.

The problem is when they start doing in stream ads, that will require something new. That said, people have been doing that with cable for a while, it’ll be real interesting to see what clever stuff comes out to detect them in stream

They could create a system that picks one person out of the millions that do it, and then still make a random number generator pick a number that they have to choose out of 1000, and it would still mean that “You have a chance” to win. Sure, a chance, like, but at what odds, and that’s only if they were actually checked if it was true.

We all know there was never a chance.

I think they’re similar enough where it could work, and thinking about it from mastodon too it’s essentially just a long trail of messages. It wouldn’t be a plugin system (I’m real sick of business people telling me to just ‘plug in’ my code), but I don’t think it’s impossible
