@justine@bsd.cafe As has unfortunately often been the case in recent years, we’ve experienced scorching summers (with heatwaves lasting for weeks, sometimes reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius) interspersed with almost tropical storms, featuring monstrous winds and hailstones the size of billiard balls. These events are becoming increasingly extreme.

@miki@dragonscave.space the same could happen if the X accounts gets hacked. Or the website. Having multiple communication channels is the key to avoid those kinds of problems.
Monoculture is always a problem.

@justine@bsd.cafe It’s simple, almost no dependencies, you can host it everywhere.
But the experience isn’t as complete or “polished” as with Mastodon.
