Imagine being the one creating the segment for a Mr Beast video. Instantly saved some years.

No matter what, this is crucial for the adaptation of Linux, because someone will actually use it and get used to the system.

That may also spark the interest in software development for the platform, which could make Linux support more platforms.

This is amazing for open source!

I’m all for governments saving money, and hopefully this will spread.

Posts like these reveal how many reads the article.

This is a good thing done by Microsoft. They make sure that 3rd party software can’t change the default browser without the user knowing.

They will get prompted with the choice screen showing all installed browsers. And when they make their choice, even Edge wouldn’t be able to prey people into clicking a button that makes it the default instead.

They’d have to. They don’t make the change so they can be nice. It’s probably also only for EU users, when it releases.

No, they can’t be trusted. That’s why they are forced to do it by the EU to comply to the DMA.

This may only be released in the EU, also.

It’s literally to comply with the EU. Microsoft doesn’t do this to be nice.

Comprehensive data is worth more for Meta, so my guess would be that the price model only existed to get users to consent.

Still interesting to see the numbers, yeah.

It’s bad because the subscription fee is ridiculous high compared, and only for one reason.

And that’s getting you to consent, because comprehensive data is worth more for them.

Also, the whole point is to give back users the right to their data. They don’t take away Facebooks right to show ads.

Selling personal data is not equal showing ads.
