What I do is take my yearly donation budget and divide it up to all of the projects (don’t forget about those libraries, dependencies, etc)

Intuit just did it again by increasing qb desktop pricing over 500% or pay a subscription for the desktop. Stop paying and it stops working.

Spore can join the wall of shame of companies I have seen personally either pull a bait-and-switch, shutdown services unexpectedly, or paywall features unexpectedly to force a mandatory (sometimes huge) price increase:
