Thanks for this interesting link! After landing here a couple of days ago, just want to say thank you also for sprinkling diverse tidbits of interest all around the site :)
In this study, the two groups seem to differ on many factors other than language type, so I thought the authors’ attribution of connectivity differences to characteristics of the two of the languages was not as well supported as one might like. But it is an interesting idea!
Curious about this too. I have one of those giant flappy things that only keeps you dry in a gentle sprinkle, ie where I am located, always soaking wet.
Lovely, thank you for sharing! For some reason I can’t see any comments in jerboa atm, so please excuse if this has already been asked. What is the tall one on the left, and is it happy to stay away from the light? All office greens complain when they’re not plastered up against a window.
👀 lookin’ at you, alpha=.05
One more voice in agreement, and thank you for the considered argument. I value your good faith approach, and also resting the benefit of the doubt on the best available evidence, which in the case of FB is pretty damning, imo.

That’s a good thought. I went to check, and yes, same account and settings on mobile and web apps. I’ve read when this happens across instances, there are federation issues, but mander is local, and Houseplants is the only mander community with disappearing posts for me. Does this happen for anyone else locally? If not, maybe just another blip in the fediverse ¯_ (ツ) _/¯
