There’s finite amount of ammunition available for the iron dome, and once it’s depleted then it’s gg well played because the west lacks the industrial capacity to produce missiles quickly. It’s going to be exactly the same crisis as we see with artillery shells in Ukraine right now. It also appears that Israel managed to waste a lot of their missiles early on intercepting the pop rockets that Hamas launches from Gaza.

He cares about his western sponsors continuing to fund him. If he bails now and a new government forms, then he becomes a nobody overnight. If he flees at the last moment, then the west will claim that the new government installed by Russia is illegitimate, and Zelensky is the true king of Ukraine.

I’m guessing he’ll want to make his escape as close to the end as possible, because otherwise it would create a power vacuum for somebody else to step in. He has to be seen to be in charge until the last moment.

Their view is that he’ll just escape to the west and run a government in exile in the end. Hence he’s just waiting for the right moment to bail.

It’s pretty funny to watch honestly.
