I’m only on reddit for a few select, very specific communities. If I ever find a replacement it’s over. Help with Immigration laws, teaching practices, language learning ect. I’m thinking maybe I’d like to start the teachers group over here.

That’s how this happens. The community is the value, not the platform. Once a critical mass crosses over, the same community can continue.

Only reason I still visited Reddit was to look at /r/CrossStitch. With the lemmit.online bot (which I have mixed feelings about) I get my feed on Lemmy without going on there. Not ideal as I can’t comment but even if I go there to do it, I have my adblocker up.
