This German newspaper article (translated by Deepl) claims that Democrats will defend Johnson against attempts by the right of his party to unseat him as speaker. I don’t know the ins and outs of US politics, therefore I ask: What do you think?

Maybe? The repub shitshow circus might normally benefit Dems, but I’m not sure Rs can agree on another speaker. It’s might be better to be able to vote on shit-even as disfuncional as the house currently is- than to be completely paralyzed without a speaker. The Ukraine vote was months too late but at least it happened.
