Applies to most other things as well. More often than not “original” are the best tasting.

Yeah, I’m not sure what OP is thinking. It’s like thinking it’s an unpopular opinion that pepperoni pizza is best. Sure, there are people who disagree, but regular potato chips is by far the most popular, it’s in no way an unpopular opinion.

Pepperoni is only the most popular because it’s non-offensive. It’s the pop music of pizza. Nobody will complain that they’re hearing Britney Spears, or Micheal Jackson, or Madonna, or Taylor Swift while shopping in a walmart. Doesn’t make it the best music. It just means that death metal is REALLY good for some people, and completely disagreeable to the point of complaints for others.

Pepperoni is just the safe option.

Whereas salted potato chips are the best…as long as we completely forget the 1996-2003 edition of Lays KC Masterpiece, and Ruffles 2001 Au Graten flavors.

Also, this thread has inspired me for an ACTUAL unpopular opinion which I will post right now.
