I wanted to include links to other related communities in this community. I was trying to come up with terms for all these related relationship types, and then I remembered that this venn existed. I’ve seen numerous versions of this previously. Polyamory (from Ancient Greek πολύς (polús) ‘many’, and Latin amor ‘love’) is the practice of, or desire for, romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, with the informed consent of all partners involved.[1][2] Some people who identify as polyamorous believe in consensual non-monogamy with a conscious management of jealousy and reject the view that sexual and relational exclusivity (monogamy) are prerequisite for deep, committed, long-term, loving relationships.[3] Others prefer to restrict their sexual activity to only members of the group, a closed polyamorous relationship that is usually referred to as polyfidelity.[4][5]
