I never fly delta, no matter how cheap the tickets are. I’ve never had a good experience with them.
Is there a ranking system I’m unaware of? I thought Delta was one of the better ones compared to say frontier or spirit.
Frontier and Sprint are a different tier than Delta, which is in the same tier as American Airlines. With Frontier and Sprint, you should expect everything to cost you something snd your trip to be bare bones.
Delta shouldn’t be like that at all. But within its tier, it’s the worst.
I’m the total opposite. I pay up to double the fare sometimes to fly Delta.
Hopefully this bad press on this incident causes some policy changes at Delta on tarmac delays. That sounds miserable and dangerous.
The list of “I’ll never fly X” gets pretty long. It might be faster to say which airlines one should use. I think my order is JetBlue, SW, and United (carry-on only). But honestly I don’t fly enough to recommend that to others.
Every Jetblue flight I’ve ever been on has been delayed. I’m typing this while waiting for a jet blue flight right now (weather is perfect and AA and Delta are flying into my destination currently so thats not it either). I travel occasionally for work and it doesn’t seem to matter what airport, day of the week, time of year, or time of day…jetblue will be delayed. The planes are decent and the cost isn’t bad but if you’re flying jetblue and have a connection then God speed, you’ll need it.
