The point wasnโ€™t to take a successful brand over to make money, it was to have direct control over the narrative being pushed across social media.

Yup.

Imagine your facebook-addicted uncle complaining about the woke platform that he uses all day every day. Then imagine he has the money to buy facebook, as well as the hubris to think he could do a better job running it. Thatโ€™s basically what happened here.
