Palestinian ambulance worker Abed Bardini unknowingly sat beside his mother’s corpse in the ambulance for 2 kilometres after responding to a strike.

His mother was killed by an Israeli air strike in central Gaza.

Mr Bardini made the discovery after medical staff pulled back the blanket in the hospital courtyard.

I’m conflicted on this story, on one hand I love that it raises awareness to what’s going on for many in Palestine.

On the other, I feel like sharing this intimate moment online is horrific. This medic will never not be able to be made to relive this moment as it floats around.

Pretty sure they wouldn’t share this without his approval. And a lot of people want others to know what’s happening in Gaza for a sliver of chance it will change something.
