Would the US losing in Ukraine hurt the US elsewhere? Would it increase the likelihood that West Asia can free itself?

Absolutely, any vassals of the US will have clear evidence of what they can expect in case of a war. The whole premise of US protection is going to be undermined.

I feel like that statement was made for the Kurds too. That shit was literally just a propaganda blitz. Three months later U.S abandons them entirely.
From what I’ve heard the kurds are a bit problematic so I’m not exactly defending them but this exact kinda shit played out in Syria too.

Yeah it’s the same playbook everywhere, I think the difference with Ukraine is that it’s very high profile than previous debacles.
