The “slave catchers” going into free states to abduct their citizens were a big part of the reason the Civil War started.

Yup. This is why the whole ‘States rights’ argument is absolutely bullshit. The only states trying to bring the federal government in to usurp other states’ authority were the slave states.

At this point I’m wishing for a civil war impacting the entire economy and to see capitalism collapse… it would be the moment to kill all billionaires bastards

Those billionaires will flee until its safe to come back, don’t be naive. We will suffer the most. Civil War is what the rich would benefit from.

See that bitcoin fraud idiot - his brother was out trying to buy an entire island nation to set up their apocalypse fortress. These fuckers get together and discuss how best to keep their loot and continue to plunder. My guess is the Effective Altruist oligarchs, or at least a lot of them, have decided that the climate disaster is unavoidable and Much Worse Than Expected Much Sooner, and that the most effective altruistic move is to save their asses in their hidey holes until the die off is complete.

More innocent people would suffer in that scenario, fyi. I get where you are coming from though, capitalism sucks and it is frustrating.

I’m not. Poor people always suffer the most in violent revolutions no matter what.

Poor people will become poorer and start to starve to death anyway. We have to take power before it’s physically impossible and we hit a no-return point. Even if we doesn’t talk about capitalism at his core, climate change will kill us all if we don’t stop the machine. In every scenario, people will die. But one aftermath is building a new society that can be great this time, or everyone is dead from deshydratation
