DF works on Linux since the beginning.
The Lazy Newb Pack was always available for Linux and through Proton the Steam Pro Version also worked from day one and I never had issues.
It even works with DFhack.

The fact that I’ve been using Linux for over 20 years and don’t know what most of that is seems like an issue…
