This is a pretty good deal, right? If it doesn’t work out we only paid 10m euros.

He’s out of contract next summer so he would be free. We’re basically buying him for €35m a year before his contract expires but paying most of it next year, presumably for FFP reasons this year.

This sounds like a great deal to me. If he does come good we’ll only max spend 35m

I think the BBC are reporting it as an obligation to buy, but still, in the current market, a good deal.

Obligation makes more sense, from the selling point of view if it was an option, we could just not take it up and then take him anyway on a free. Unless I’ve missed something.

Either way, I’m happy we’ve got him, but this transfer window had been terribly planned and we really could’ve done with getting this done before we even went on your.

Obligatory Glazers out.

I changed the title. I tried to do it initially, but the contents of the tweet was bigger than the allowed characters in the title. I shortened the title and moved the contents of the tweet to the body.
