What gear and what PEV do you use in the rain?

Rainy season just started hitting here in Portland and I’m riding a G2 ninebot because I’m not comfortable with the water proofing on the S18 monowheel

Waterproof over-trousers (Regatta Stormbreak) and a cheap rain jacket. I was contemplating a poncho, but ultimately settled on the rain jacket as it’s more portable.

I had a nice breathable rain jacket before, but the waterproofing got ruined after I washed it with the wrong stuff.

Current bike is non-electric, but has front and rear fenders to keep most of the muck away from my shoes and my back. My previous bike had no fenders and uh… there was always a long brown line down my back after arriving at work wet πŸ˜…

If you still have the old rain jacket its pretty easy to restore the DWR treatment with a product called nikwax.

It’s a little sad that we need to actually say this, but:

Don’t be an asshole or you will be permanently banned.

Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

Focus on discussing the idea, not attacking the person.
