The professional class in America would have a significant amount of power and the ability to tell their insane, power hunger bosses to go fuck themselves…

Except…

Because of eternal, life long debt and health care they can’t.

Don’t think this came about by accident. Debt is a tool to control a whole society.

I can’t believe some people have STUDENT debts till that late in their life that’s just serfdom, barely even disguised

I got a 30k in debt for my master degree which i reimbursed in 3 years after graduation. Surely I lived with 200€ disposable income per month (food not included) for some time, but glad it hasn’t last till I am 82

How and why does an 82 year old have 175 grand in student loans?

Compounding interest… oh… but when did she go to school? Prices only got crazy somewhat recently.

Even more importantly, how did she get it forgiven?

Biden’s doing some targeted forgiveness to bolster his reputation. Just gotta be part of one of the targeted groups.

So trying to fulfill a campaign promise is bolstering a reputation? Seems jaded.

Can’t we just be happy that people are being helped? And maybe if the supreme court and the House would also help, it’d be even more people.

How do I become one of those groups? Is the criteria listed anywhere?

Yes. Yes it does.

Could you elaborate on how? Do student loans sue for nonpayment? Are they paid back by the estate?

Probably, you cnt have them discharged due to bankruptcy or disability even. I would expect the loan company probably puts a lien on your estate.

Hell, they recapitalize interest anytime you have a late or nonpayment payment, so I would imagine any interest payments you miss while dead add to the capital they charge your estate.
