Ok so our suspicions have been confirmed and it literally is just “but Ukrainians are white”
Prolly for the best if I avoid liberals discussing foreign policy for a bit
Zelensky is such a weasely bastard
I wonder how many people tut-tutting this were cheering at videos of Ukrainian soldiers executing prisoners and brutalizing “collaborators”
Um, it’s not the same because Ukraine never attacked civilians you dumb tankies! Donbas? No, I haven’t heard of it. No, why would I do the barest amount of research into the things I claim to care about? That’s what CNN is for.
I’ve seen takes where they go “oh Donbas was filled with Russian thugs and gangsters anyways so they deserve to be gunned down like animals”
Crackers, never once.
I’ve seen liberals say that Ukraine striking their own citizens with missiles is Russia’s fault because if they didn’t invade Ukraine wouldn’t have made the mistake.
I agree with this logic to an extent. But surely liberals would apply the same logic to Palestinians and the deaths of Israelis right???
Yo I kinda hate the use of Israel Kamakawiwoʻole as a substitute icon for the apartheid state of Israel, given that used his music to identify the US State of Hawaii as an apartheid state against the native Hawaiian population.
Izzy K was a very cool figure, if u are not familiar with his work u should give him a listen!
I thought the whole joke was that the emoji is called israel-cool and he was a cool guy called Israel.
It’s not a good fit for the apartheid ethnostate, though.
Yes, the point is that we don’t want an actual :israel-cool: emote because we dont want an emote of the star of david on fire, even if it’s only on their shitty flag. but we want an :israel-cool: emote to use in situations like these, so we’ve got an emote of the only cool israel as a stand-in
It’s not a zero sum game. The Military Industrial Complex can build an infinite supply of weapons as long as there are willing buyers.
Not really true, while it is the case that a huge part of the heavy industry remaining in the US is mostly related to weapons and aerospace, the US doesn’t have the industrial capacity to sustain endless conventional warfare. It could sustain forever wars against enemies much weaker in the Bush and Obama years, but I’d be surprised if it can keep giving Ukraine + Israel + Taiwan support against real enemies were hot wars to go on for any length of time in each.
