Edit: I opened another tab in a separate Firefox container and didn’t get the pop-up. I believe I read this shit being account-based when the first reports of Youtube’s anti-adblock measures started making the rounds and it seems to be the case still

Had to switch to Firefox plus ad blocker after I started getting targeted ads for the town I live in. Creepy shit.

What makes me sad is that AdNauseum while built on uBlock, isn’t updated as much and ended up failing making me shift back to uBlock which is at least still functional for me. I just like “clicking” all the ads and making shit more expensive for the ad agency.

Me too. I kept using it out of sheer pettiness even if ads kept popping up, but it got a bit out of hand after a while. I hope it gets better some day.

I’m using a smart DNS (ControlD) with adblock and I’ve never seen those popups everyone keeps complaining about. It also lets me get around F1TV’s geo blocking.
