Yes I’m working a gig job as a second job rn. Not because I’m into it or want to (though it is somewhat enjoyable relatively speaking), but because I need the few hundred dollars a month. Same reason I work at all. Not because I’m into it but because I need to.
Are we “into” it, or are careers just fictional now?
Trying to stay at the same company for any length of time is a terrible move these days. I think without exception you will always get better pay raises moving to a different company than moving up in the same company. If you’re not just laid off by the hundreds or thousands.
Young people should be organizing.
Can’t wait for complaints that young people aren’t spending enough in a few months.
The job market is utterly shit right now, they frankly do not have a choice.
