It reminds me of those hydraulic pumps that have the off set gear thing to smoosh the fluid in and out.

Nah, that’s a Wankel or rotary engine. The spinning Dorito of bye-bye money

I’m prety sure a Wankel engine is specifically the rotary internal combustion engine, that has only 3 ‘corners’

Sure, thanks for pointing this out. I have replaced it with a picture of the logo from the framework github.

Its like that to represent how the parts will fit together after diassembling the laptop more than three times.

When they put a good keyboard in their laptops then they can have a centered logo.

What’s the problem with the keyboard? I haven’t heard about this.

It’s just a normal laptop keyboard, which means it sucks. Thinkpads are the only laptops I’ve tried with nice keyboards, though the newer generations aren’t as nice as a few years ago.

If Framework makes a laptop with 2+mm of travel then I’ll be all over it. But I bet Lenovo will make a modular Thinkpad before Framework makes a thicc keyboard.

@sentient_loom @MMNT the absence of TrackPoint prevents me from completely switching to a framework laptop.

I quite like the keyboard especially coming from one of the MBPs with the shit keyboard.

I want a switch hotswap mechanical keyboard with a linear layout option. They can make the laptop thicker.

That would be so good. I’d be happy enough with low profile switches and keycaps as long as I can swap them out and customize the whole typing experience.

This is the kind of extreme customization that somebody has got to pick up on.
