I honestly couldn’t figure out which one would be best to post in. I just saw this and went with it. Any ideas in suggestions?

Presumably because they want to be open and if you don’t like it you can block those instances?
Both hexbear and Lemmygrad are in the list of blocked instances on that page.
And why should it ? If you notice illegal content, report it so the individual posting it can be taken care of.

You can’t stand a leftist view on urbanism, on science, on transportation… Block it.
I, for my part, can’t stand the idea of an instance becoming an even worse echo chamber as it is by severing ties with anybody who irritates an instance admin.
I am ok with an “echo chamber” that keeps these shit people out just like I am ok with an “echo chamber” that kicks neonazis to the curb. Every single “bastion of unlimited speech” has become a shit hole overrun with nazis and other human garbage.
So… their freedom to associate with whomever they want bothers you…
