Thought it was suspicious when the director said something about him showing everyone his real worth or something like that before the knighting ceremony and immediately called it after the assassination

If you haven’t seen it, you’ll probably dig The Sea Beast. It’s in the same vein. Less dark, more kid friendly.
Thought it was good. haven’t read the original comics myself, but find the creators sub stack doodles funny enough, and also to give my friend (who is a big fan of the original comic) someone to talk to and/or complain about it with.
Enjoyed the little little lines/themes of queer/trans coding here and there. I loved it. Made me cry because I’m a big softy. Felt that it was just as valid a metaphor for neurodivergence as trans identity. Very stylish animation, the characters were very distinct and all of the emotional moments felt very real.
