What do you mean just ignoring a problem doesn’t make it go away. I am shocked
Return? I never stopped wearing them. Or social distancing and avoiding indoor spaces packed with strangers.
Weirdly enough, I haven’t caught COVID yet, either.
Mask mandates never should have been lifted in the first place. We already have to wear pants, a shirt, and some kind of footwear in public; practically, this doesn’t really have a good reason other than cultural norms. Adding a mask to this is such a simple request, it blows my mind that people are so strongly against it; it’s one of the few requirements for personal attire that actually has a good reason behind it, and it’s incredibly easy to just put on a mask if you’re going to be face-to-face with another person.
What I’ve learned is that people don’t like to be told what to do even if it is for the benefit of those around them. I’ve seen it mostly in the US where the mask mandate was seen as an attack on personal freedoms and not a response to a public health crisis. As usual, people thinking they are the main characters. Just put the mask on and stfu, no one cares.
Does it really blow your mind? I diligently wore a mask during the thick of the pandemic but I’m not exactly yearning for those days. Being able to see people’s faces is important.
being able to see people’s faces is important
“Why yes, we could both kill each other in this tight space, but at least I can see your beautiful face.”
Blows my mind we still need to have this talk. Just wear the fucking mask inside and admire faces outside.
N95 then? The surgical ones are useless. Mandated knee pads and helmets also!
Yes, please make sure if you have surgery you tell your surgeon “no need to wear a mask, just a helmet and some knee pads”.
You realize there’s a reason they give you antibiotics after surgeries right? It’s PRECISELY because of infection vectors like that during the surgery.
I just got back from Thailand and was wondering. Didn’t seem to be a lot of sick people, though. Sorry to hear they’re dealing with it in that region again.

were you able to tell by the lack of red neon signs floating above people’s heads, saying “I’m COVID-positive”?
Sane people will continue to wear the mask in crowded places.
