An easy pick for me but it captures the last decade so well. Lincoln looking at the noose/halo is what sends this one over from being just a funny picture into being genuine art. It should be in a gallery. It should be in the entryway to the White House.

there are 2 eras of history: before i was born, and after. there was about 30 minutes in between where i was kinda doin both
the sad thing is that despite this being ages ago, and from a different era, maybe even a different zeitgeist, it still was definitive in shaping the current era.
The good thing is that those of us who were adults during Bush Jr’s tenure can rightfully regard Trump & co. as the silly little clown show they really are. No amount of Democrat bleating about Trump being a horrific fascist about to murder everyone in the world is going to scare me. I lived through the era where the PNAC crowd had power. It’s like a being cancer survivor listening to someone else whine about a sprained ankle. Trump and his friends are nowhere near as terrifying as Rumsfeld, Bolton, Cheney, etc. were in the 2000s.
