The SPEs on the cell processor are actually pretty good at rendering graphics. In a lot of late gen exclusive PS3 games you can see that the developers utilised them more and more for graphics rendering. So the plan was to have the SPEs on both cell processors do all the graphics.
Imagine if Sony executives got their way and the PS3 had two cell processors and no conventional GPU. It would have been even more of a nightmare to work on.

I mean yes. Belief in these concepts, in some cases, is basically a replacement or reinvention of religion. Like how in simulation theory the AI or beings in charge of the simulation plays the same role as a monotheistic all knowing God and the simulation itself takes the place of predestination. Or with regards to aliens, aliens visiting Earth play the role of angels, demons, or minor gods in a polytheistic sense visiting Earth. Or how apocalyptic scenarios of Aliens discovering and invading Earth play the role of end times prophecies and revelations. Or how multiverse theory can become predestination over infinite timelines. It seems that the more some people escape the concept of religion, the more they reinvent it.
I mean he’s become a careerist and sell out. I don’t think his current actions match his views. I guess he really wants to be in Jumanji 4, Kung Fu Panda 28 and Mario 2. And don’t forget campaigning for Biden. Imagine throwing away a decades long friendship and band for that though, of all things…
