I don’t know what this is

Direct message

Hezbollah released a new video showing the drone side of their operations yesterday.

The video starts in a warehouse showcasing dozens of Ababil-T and Shahed 101 attack drones. A Hezbollah soldier then picks up a piston engined and petrol/gasoline powered Shahed 101 drone, with a single radio antenna on the front. The video then cuts to the battlefield.

In the next scene, we can see Hezbollah drone operators preparing a group of Shahed 101 “suicide drones” for launch. However, there is one very big difference seen here, along with a few smaller ones. These Shahed 101 drones have electric engines and are battery powered, with the charging and data cables clearly visible. They also have a fresh coat of camouflage paint applied. This is done to reduce the chances of detection, an electronic motor has a lower heat signature than a piston engine, due to the lack of exhaust gases and cooler operation. They are also quieter, making less noise. The camouflage paint scheme is also designed to reduce detection, with a drab olive to dark green top to make the drone blend in with the ground when viewed from above, and a sliver bottom to blend in with the sky when viewed from below. The reduction in heat signature, along with a reduced visual and audio presence, makes the drone harder to detect. The drones also have no radio antenna or cameras, suggesting a one way attack approach with a pre-programmed flight path. We can see a drone operator presumably uploading flight data from his laptop using a USB interface. This makes them immune to being jammed.

All in all, the modifications made to the Shahed 101 drone by Hezbollah to make it harder to detect, combined with the rocket fire in a close range saturation attack to overwhelm Israeli air defences, allowed the Shahed 101 one way attack drones to carry out their attack undetected and without interception. The drones are relatively small with a small warhead, which limits targets to soft unprotected ones, like the dining hall hit yesterday.

Ballistic missile launch from Lebanon was just detected, so they are immediately under fire

I had the beeb bowl haircut as a kid before Bieber was a thing, then had it through the peek of his popularity, and still had it when Bieber changed his style. Went from cool, to uncool to cool again lol.

Lots of product yeah. Same for high volume combovers or anything like that, but not wax or gel, pomade is probably the the best. Also the barber or hairstylist needs to layer the top sections of hair appropriately to make it “light” and give it volume, otherwise it’ll just flop down.

Before I grew out my hair, I was a big fan of the undercut hairstyle, buzzed and sometimes faded on the back and sides and long on top.

It’s also really weird reporting when 4 to 5 of their fellow soliders died from the same attack. The whole brigade got bombed at dinner time with no warning, resulting in multiple deaths and they’re talking about anxiety? What a deeply unserious conscript ground army.

It’s 61 injured according to Sky News, not dead, from what I can see. Though other sources, including in the link from Sky News, have updated the figure to 67.

https://news.sky.com/story/middle-east-latest-some-67-people-wounded-in-a-strike-in-northern-israeli-city-of-binyamina-using-squadron-of-drones-12978800

Israel’s ambulance service has declared this evening’s drone attack by Hezbollah on the town of Binyamina as a mass casualty event.

It says 61 people have been injured by the attack, with three people in a serious condition, 18 in moderate condition, 31 mildly injured, and nine suffering from anxiety.

What you are seeing in the video is the launching of rockets to provide cover for the drone strike, and overwhelm the Iron Dome system so that it can’t track or shoot at the suicide drones that did the damage and got the hits. A sophisticated saturation attack, with perfect timing and co-ordination between the rocket launches and drone operators.

Yeah I get it now, sorry for being so slow. Kessler syndrome would make the usage of any of these weapons impossible, I understand now.

So far only the USA has an spacecraft that can orbit for years at a time in the X-37B, the Chinese and Russian systems are very much fractional, they are incapable of performing multiple orbits from what I understand, they are based off of ballistic missiles and don’t consist of an spacecraft like the X-37B.

In general the space frontier is extremely worrying and I don’t see how it de-escalates, the potential for Kessler syndrome could function as a sort of mutually assured destruction? But that opens up another avenue of attack in space nukes that could deliberately be used to instigate Kessler syndrome. But that just encourages the adversary to potentially neutralise the space nuke, which then encourages the holders of the space nuke to detonate it. Which is why I don’t see how de-escalation could work in space at this time. The feedback loops don’t work in the same way MAD does on Earth.

It’s really not looking good for the Harris campaign nationally or on swing states from what I’ve seen. If she’s in a statistical tie with Trump nationally, and with the Electoral College along with swing states tending to favour Republicans, it paints a poor picture.

Immigration is Trump’s biggest net positive issue, it’s the area he has the largest advantage in actually, 10 percentage points up on Harris, 46% for Trump vs 36% for Harris. As a non American, I think it worked out this way: when the voters are faced with the choice between Harris imitating Trump 2016 rhetoric, or the real deal in Trump himself, they prefer the real deal over the imitation. It’s why I feel the Democrat’s pivot to the right is a poor strategy. Look at all of Harris’ best issues according to the poll: abortion, democracy and protecting the middle class. These are all issues where she has not shifted rightwards. On all of her weak issues, it’s where she’s shifted right or tried to imitate Trump.

The X-37B unmanned orbital space craft already does that. It goes on classified missions nobody knows about and orbits the Earth for years at a time. Some Russian sources speculate that it could carry nuclear weapon. But that’s quite different from a fractional system by definition, though there is also speculation that it could be used in that manner.
