It seems the bot has stopped reposting content from Reddit?

What did you expect with Reddit deliberately breaking the bot API? They also shadowban you for mentioning Lemmy.

If it ain’t obvious, reddit likely added subtle changes to make the bots unable to use reddit. They’re afraid of Lemmy.

Filter the community and it’s a ghost town because nobody wants to repost these rebates on their own, and we certainly don’t have the volume for the community to be self-sustaining at the moment.

Anyway that’s my 2¢.

At least the bot is self-contained to that community unlike some.

If i want to see what’s on Reddit, I’ll go to Reddit

Normally I would agree, but in this case there’s very little discussion or interaction with the content. I just want to see what the deals are, and I’d rather do it here than have to visit Reddit.

The rss feed stopped working for a while, I believe they have banned the IPs associated with GitHub actions. If someone would like to self host the bot it should work, just need to fork the repository.
