Let’s leave it behind, we’re starting fresh!

I went back to a job I really wasn’t super fond of instead of finding another job that was a better fit.

Joining new social media platforms. What a colossal mistake that was. The most relentless self-promotion, with-us-or-against-us mentality, quibbling over absolute nonsense, and the most banal overshares imaginable.

One of my 2024 goals is to try to return to “social” platforms and mediums that feel more oldschool and meaningful. IRC, bulletin boards, interest forums, stuff like that.

I too am so burnt out on the degenerated modern concept of social media.

Got a full time county job salaried at 17 dollars an hour rate with 401k benefits. But couldn’t handle the full time hours, 2 hour commute, and toxic coworkers. Lasted 4 months at what is considered a dream job in my area.

You spend so much of your life at work, it needs to be fulfilling in some way. The right job will come when you don’t expect it, be ready! Listen to conversations for opportunities.

I screwed up everything that I could, but that applies to my whole life so far, not just 2023.
