If it’s a German license then they can just look it up online. Happened to me, didn’t even have to pay the 10 Euro.

No. Costs 10€ if you are caught

But I am not sure if they will let you continue driving if caught.

They will write you a ticket for 10€.

But if you’re not a German citizen they’ll probably detain you for identification.

There is no such thing as “don’t get caught” in Germany.

They simply continue to chase you until they got you, or maybe you choose to leave the country, or maybe you choose to leave this world…
