Google podcasts is being cramed into the horrible Youtube Music app. Anyone know of a decent android podcast app with similar functions to Google Podcasts? One that doesn’t sign you up to follow bigots?

Like what? Listening to podcasts? I use AntennaPod. Solid app. It is free software, available in F-Droid.
I use AntennaPod on mobile and gPodder on PC
do you sync your data between the two? I’ve been meaning to run the gpodder.net server at home because it seems like they closed open registrations to the public site

I switched over to Pocketcast. It’s pretty minimalist in terms of features, which is what I wanted. Just play my shit and don’t feed me ads, thanks. I like it.
I have no idea if it’s similar to google podcasts cuz I never used that, but antennapod is pretty good and i haven’t needed to use another app since I installed it. It doesn’t automatically sign you up to anything, and you can easily import your subscriptions to it.
