Google podcasts is being cramed into the horrible Youtube Music app. Anyone know of a decent android podcast app with similar functions to Google Podcasts? One that doesn’t sign you up to follow bigots?

Just like in protest? Does it not let you unsub? I pretty much only use Podbean for the black wolf feed.
I use Podverse, which I downloaded from FDroid. It is also on the playstore. It does its job very good, is open source, and has no ads.
I have no idea if it’s similar to google podcasts cuz I never used that, but antennapod is pretty good and i haven’t needed to use another app since I installed it. It doesn’t automatically sign you up to anything, and you can easily import your subscriptions to it.
Imo the most feature-rich podcast app on Android by far is PodcastAddict but its settings menu is complete garbage.
If you want a podcast app that just works from install, forget about it.
If you want a podcast app that allows you to tweak it until you’ve set it up to work exactly the way you want it to, expect to spend an hour frustratedly screwing around with the settings and trying to figure out what the hell each setting description is trying to tell you but, once you’ve reached the point where it’s doing what you want it to you’ll be content with it.
