Took less time than we expected, especially factoring in we would have been cooking at least dinner already so expanding that wasn’t bad. I’m excited to save a bit of money, not have to worry about what’s for lunch, and get some time back during our weekday nights!

What’s the rundown? Especially interested in that left situation.

-Clam chowder from a family recipe my wife just got from her grandpa. We had it for dinner last night, and it was my first time trying it, and it was fantastic!
-Chicken teriyaki over rice. Pretty good but I need to do something while reheating to keep more moisture in, everything was kind of dry.
-Breakfast burritos with chrorizo, potato, and egg. We do these pretty often and they’re great, but we’ve never made extra like this before to save.

We ran out of ambition last night so didn’t finish, but we chopped extra veggies and made up extra rice and I’m going to make a bunch of sausage fried rice tonight too and we should be good for most of the week at that point!

Will separating the chicken teriyaki from the rice with a layer of waxed paper or saran wrap help with preventing the rice from absorbing moisture from the chicken?

Ooooo that’s a good idea, I’ll give that a try next time!
