Just set a rule to delay delivery on all emails like 1-2 minutes. Plenty of time to catch things. You can also set a condition to send immediately, like if itâs marked âimportantâ.
Beware if you use Outlook. With that rule your mail wonât get sent at all from time to time and is stuck in your outgoing folder. I have not further investigated when it happens.
One of the ways it happens is if you initiate ânew emailâ from another program (say by clicking on an email address) while Outlook is closed.
It will sit in your outbox until you open Outlook properly.
If you also have that rule, Iâm not sure if it creates further delay or some other conflict.
I actually have experienced this rarely, too - what works for me is either to manually re-send or to just copy the email contents over and send a new email. It seems to happen most when I try to edit or view an email that is being held by the rule in the outbox.
That said, I havenât had this happen in quite a while, and it wasnât a super common occurrence for me.
I prefer the speed type and never reread it for proof reading, hit send, move on to the next 2k emails I have in my inbox âŚ
Apparently, Iâm the only one that does this out of my entire friend group, extended friend group, family, and work associates. Because theyâre all constantly sending hobbled together messes that couldnât possibly have been proof read a single time.
Does this stop me from doing it anyway? No.
I reread the email after every single sentence. The entire email.
missing the part where you undo send to check it all again. then send, read from recipientâs perspective, notice all the mistakes.
