The one who seemingly has no records or takes so much work to dig up one record

I finally found some Info on mine. I went back to the basics and asked some family who was alive when I believe this mystery person was and it helped a lot. let’s hear yours!

I have a great grandfather named John Smith who moved across the country before marrying my great grandmother. Tracking down anything on his branch before they got married has been basically impossible.

I’m in Wales, and my family are all Thomas, Davies, and Edwards, so I know your pain. To make it worse, on the Thomas branch, they named a load of kids after the parents and grandparents, so there are duplicates everywhere 🙈

One of my great great grandmothers. She appears in records in London as a teen. But there’s nothing on her or her mother before then anywhere in the country. She doesn’t even have that common a name. There’s only one other person with her name in the greater London area at that time, and she married someone else and had several kids with him, right when my g-grandmother was pregnant more than once (that was an annoying rabbit hole/waste of time!). So I know it’s not her.
