It was a strawberry purée, but we also got syrup which was just thinned honey. Both were very good.

I had pancakes like this when I was in Kyoto in March. They were absolutely delicious and I’m just annoyed that I only stumbled upon the pancake place in the last morning I was going to be there before going back to Tokyo.
