Can we just blow up the stage when both are on it?

If you’re referring to Trump’s butthole, then yes. It will be a given.

Two really old guys yelling at each other. Should be entertaining to watch CNN cut Trump’s mic multiple times.

It’s going to be a shit show…

Both parties are cutting out the nonpartisan committee thats been running debates for 30 years.

I don’t think people are remembering CNN was bought by a right-wing billionaire who flat out said his plan was to make CNN more like Faux News and fired every employee who spoke out against it.

Not that CNN was great before that, but this will be a total shitshow

the commission on presidential debates was made by the two major parties because they wanted more control over the debates. Its always been a farce.

I agree mostly. The one thing I really like is that there won’t be an audience. It really just turned into who can get the most applause. I know I’m naive but if this can be more like the Nixon/Kennedy debate, that would be so much better than what the presidential “debates” devolved into in recent years.

Yeah, audience is dumb.

Both sides just cram in people that will cheer for their team and boo the other no matter what

We just need to see them think and talk without just reading off a teleprompter.

It’s less about the policy and more which geriatric candidate can string together sentences that make sense.

So hopefully we get that at least.

Let’s be real though, the nonpartisan committee has been doing a real shitty job running the debates in recent years. No order, bad questions, shitty crowds full of wooping plants, allowing candidates to shout over eachother and make faces or side comments, etc.

America doesn’t need a repeat of the last 2 election cycles.

CNN will be forced to when Trump can’t shut his fucking mouth for 30 seconds.

They have preemptively decided that the mic will immediately be turned off for the non-speaking party. So fortunately that won’t be an issue this time.

Biden has thrown away the republic by running again when he had promised to be a one term president.

Commenter is incorrect that he promised, instead he just strongly implied that he would stop at 1 term.

While the option of making a public pledge remains available, Biden has for now settled on an alternative strategy: quietly indicating that he will almost certainly not run for a second term while declining to make a promise

According to four people who regularly talk to Biden, all of whom asked for anonymity to discuss internal campaign matters, it is virtually inconceivable that he will run for reelection in 2024, when he would be the first octogenarian president.

“If Biden is elected,” a prominent adviser to the campaign said, “he’s going to be 82 years old in four years and he won’t be running for reelection.”

Yeah that’s what I was getting at. I wouldn’t count an unknown advisor making that suggestion as anywhere near Biden promising to be a one term president.

And to be fair, I wish they would have lined up someone else 2 years ago. But they didn’t, and Biden hasn’t done nearly as bad a job as many think he has so I think he’s earned a 2nd term. Hopefully we can send him an actually Democratic Congress and get some good shit done the next 4 years.

I don’t watch a ton of video content to know which ones are simply alt clients to the likes of YouTube or actually cache the media. Hopefully there is a cache or mirror that doesn’t give these news outlets the views.
