I’ve seen post activity from a certain users from a specific group / social circle on lemmy thats way to similar

Either it’s one person with a lot of alts or a coordinated effort by a group of people though with alts you can make yourself appear to be a bigger if you’re one person alone

I mean, on the one hand, absolutely.

But on the other, there are legit a lot of fucking bots everywhere.

I do see engagements that go on for a dozen replies, with links and snark and sleights at the weight of the other’s mom, and then at the very tail end of that we get a “Nice Try Russian Computer Program, but I’m not falling for it!” That feels a bit like cope.
