Honestly, good. Squeeze those stupid motherfuckers dry. Because when they’ve given everything they have to Trump and they get nothing in return except deeper into poverty, that’s when they will feel the pain they deserve.

But the depth of their devotion to someone who gives zero fucks about them is truly astounding.

I agree with the sentiment completely, but they’ll be even more poor and desperate. Which makes them easier to control/manipulate and even more likely to accept whatever scapegoat their golden calf god tells them is the cause of their poverty.

I just made another comment elsewhere that said essentially I don’t think democracy works when the wealth disparity gets too high, which at its root is pretty similar to what you’re saying here, so I totally agree with your point.

It can if set up right. It’s just not set up right.

I would love for potential politicians to be completely anonymous. You get their political platform, their voting history, and that’s it. The candidates would be randomly selected from a database of people with the necessary qualifications to hold office, so no one can really buy their way in.

It also makes them more dangerous.

A significant portion of America supported the fucking Nazis so yeah, I think it’s clear we didn’t learn shit. Not even the stupid fuckers who saw it happen in front of their eyes.

Creating desperate and angry people is generally not a good thing for anyone even if it might provide some temporary emotional satisfaction.

There’s a lot of folks out there with tons of money that give plenty and won’t get anywhere close to poverty. Trump has a tectonic donor base that has money.

I’ve subscribed to the theory white supremacists backed by Christian Nationalist Billionaires have fueled this entire conflict and culture war.

First the pedophiles infiltrated the church, then the White Supremacy movement saw how easy it was and joined in.

Purely speculative other then project 2025 as proof

The GOP has been fighting a war against our educational system for about 70+ years. Add to that the fact that most of these people have been voting R for generations, so it’s basically like a religion to them.

There’s also the news networks that feed them the bullshit they’ve been brainwashed into wanting to believe.

Add it all together and you get yourself a cult.

Populism infects the world every century. It’s a simmering, low level infection until the vaccine (horrors of war) wears off, and Populism turns into fascism and millions of young men are sacrificed to push the infection back to the brink yet again.

The only cure is education, and giving people the tools for a better and brighter future where they have the sense that they have everything to lose should they regress.

Honestly, I still wonder if I am having a really long bad dream. It just doesn’t add up. In the past elections have been close. This fucking asshole is despised by every democrat and a good deal of ex-republicans but he still is ahead in the polls. How does that square up?

presidential campaign of Donald Trump said it raised

The word “said” in that sentence is doing a lot of heavy lifting. They can say they raised eleventy brazilian dollars. It doesn’t make it true. The media is doing a heck of a job amplifying Trump’s lies.

Do you have reason to think they are lieing? Edit: other than the rack their lips are moving.

If anything, I’d expect them to under-report, not over exaggerate. That way they can siphon off the rest for hush money payments.

What was the record?

What was the old record?

Was it adjusted for inflation?

Who’s recording and measuring these records?

I don’t know the answers except that they don’t adjust these for inflation. But I do know from years of watching politics that the old record isn’t anywhere close to this. I don’t recall ever even seeing $10 million raised in one day.
