YOUR NEXT STOP… IS HELL

When the elevators at a New York City skyscraper inexplicably malfunction, mechanic Mark Newman is dispatched to fix them. A series of strange and deadly accidents start to occur in the building, and spunky reporter Jennifer Evans shows up to investigate. She and Mark eventually team up to find out the cause of the gruesome deaths.

Director Dick Maas’ (Amsterdamned) remake of his 1983 Dutch movie De Lift. Down might not technically be a good movie, but Maas always aims to entertain, and he’s definitely successful at that. You can stream it on Shudder in North America. A few more stills…

I love this movie. It straddles the line of self-awareness of its own cheese so well, and it is indeed cheesy as all hell
