A Russian court sentenced a 15-year-old student to five years in a juvenile detention centre. Arseniy Turbin was accused of participating in a terrorist organization. According to investigators, he wanted to be a member of the Freedom of Russia Legion and distributed flyers containing criticism of President Vladimir Putin to his neighbours’ mailboxes.

Let’s see whether lemmy.ml will ignore this story or if Tankies will come in here and tell us that such measures are necessary to counter Western imperialism.

Moreover, Russia is not fascist, never mind the nationalistic cult of authority, and running this story is

Authority, story, escalatory — I think you might be a rapper.

Edit: I also just noticed the pairing of ‘fascist’ and ‘nationalistic’ which I like very much.

He was sentenced to two years for slander

Is it really slander considering the state of the Russian military a very long time after the week they were supposed to take Kyiv by?

I believe it’s a joke. He gets 2 years for slander because it’s a false charge, and 5 for leaking state secrets because what he said is true.

Ah Russia,

  • Whose modern Rasputin, Aleksandr Dugin is a literal neo-Nazi.
  • Who possesses world leadership in alcoholism rates.
  • Who is in the bottom 20 percentile adjacent to Afghanistan for transparency and corruption.
  • Meanwhile the sorry suckers have an economy smaller than California and think they can win in Ukraine lol.

They’re speedrunning to become North Korea.
