We get reports, and that’s great. But sometimes we also get reports for people who have already been banned, it’s just that their comments weren’t removed.
You can differentiate someone who was banned by the lack of a profile picture next to their name. All users since a few lemmy versions have a default pfp of the Lemmy mascot. If there’s no pfp there, it means they were banned on the instance you’re looking at the comment from.
On the other hand at least in Jerboa, there’s a specific icon for banned people.
Yeah and people who haven’t chosen a pfp don’t have one at all. I wasn’t aware that default pfps were a thing until this post
we used to have “banned” (or something like that) written next to the user’s name, including for community-local bans; do you know why that was removed?
Aww man I didn’t realize I had a lame Lemmy mouse pfp. Time to upgrade to catfish I guess.
I’m mainly a lurker but it is still disappointing to see the comment section with Libs and their disingenuous arguments. I left Reddit due to its suppression of non-pro-western users. Lemmygrad is where we could have these conversations without the constant interruption from liberals. I support the banning of these accounts.
People who go out of their way to make an account in a far left website just to disrupt us should expect nothing less.
I have no issue with people asking genuine questions to learn about our point of view.
I would suggest people get a profioe picture (pfp) if they are neutral as to getting one or not. Having a pfp makes you stand out and more memorable. Most frequent users have pfps.
Of course it is not required, and fine to not have one as well.
