I have anxiety and have always had it and my entire childhood was a catastrophe but we are good now. The good news is that I can cope with it (no fs given no matter the circumstance) and for the most part it works out because I’m passionate about my work.
However I have worked with ppl who cannot manage their anxiety and stress and I consider myself very lucky to not be in their situation. Those guys are troopers.
What sort of strategies do you use to manage it? I have a very hard time managing anxiety and stress sometimes, but other times it’s not a huge deal.
I think I have strong mindfulness, I actively do not think about work or things like “what ifs” by forcing myself not to
I always try to remember that doing something is rewarding even if the anxiety makes you scared of doing it. My self talk works for me and it might not work for you but I think to myself “wtf are you going to do all day if you don’t do the thing you wanted to do”.
So in summary: practice mindfulness, find a way to self talk and support yourself, remember when you were anxious but tried something and enjoyed it
Took me a minute to understand what’s going on, they’re kinda all looking the wrong way
when people’s eyes start hurting from looking at something, they generally tend to look away from the something.
I’m not saying it doesn’t make sense I just personally found it hard to parse.
I rise above the world
