I used to live in indiana and I tried to get involved within the local democratic party there for a period of time. Thats when I learned that the dem parties in red states are even more of a joke than dems in blue and purple states.
Hell, at the county level, the democratic party didn’t even exist beyond the chairman posting memes on the facebook page.

I checked Alabama, because it’s early in alphabetical order and has three congressional candidates running unopposed, and they require signatures from at least “3% of all votes cast for governor in the district in the last election.”
